Kine Hair Braiding

I absolutely love this shop! The atmosphere is great and the stylists are friendly and professional! Not to mention...I love, love, love my micro braids! They are all the same size and length! If you want your hair to done correctly Kine is the place to go!

Not professional! Went to them once will never go back. So I advice if you want your hair done right with good service find some where else and avoid going here!

I went to kine before for micro braids n loved it that was last year in January this time I went for kinky twists. My hair has been cut very short n I asked if they can grip short hair. Quote yes its extra 180 plus 25 for hair

ok for $205 I would not expect my braids to come out

It will be two weeks on Tuesday when service was done. I wont be going back. I'm going to sistas on murfreesboro rd. My daughter hair look ten times better n it was $190

The first time I went to Kine I got kinky twist and it was my first time getting them done. I have to say they super exceeded my expectations. The stylist was right on time and she got stated right away. I didn't bring my own hair and they didn't have the color I wanted so I had to settle for a darker color. But over all I was pleased. The second time I took my 9yr.old. And when I told her what I wanted and what length she told me a totally different price than what I was told over the phone. And she tried to charge me the same price that I paid for mine. And when I told her that I paid that price for mine she got an attitude. The owner came and defused the situation. She lowered the price but it was still higher than the price I was told over the phone. Then when I picked her up the kinky twists were to short and they weren't roded all the way. I had to go back to get them reroded. They do quality work and I don't want to condemn the place over one employee so I'm going to go back and see if the third time is the charm. If not then I'm done with them.

Compared to other salons,this was the worst one! I experienced the worst time ever. I had an appt. and arrived on time but had to wait 30-45 minutes due to the fact that the owner over-books everyone there! When my turn finally came up, I read a sign that stated that payment was due first. I attempted to pay with my card and the owner says "cash only". There was NOT a sign saying cash only and it was very irritating having to go back to an ATM machine due to the fact that they did not own a credit card machine! When I arrived (again), I told the owner what I wanted,including the length and the style. I got the complete OPPOSITE of what I asked for! Once a stylist starts braiding, you can't "stop" it unless you want an uneven or unattractive look. I was VERY upset that noone LISTENED to me and basically did what they wanted. As if that wasn't bad enough, the stylist I was with was one of the slower ones in the shop. I specifically asked for a style that I knew would be 5-6 hours and she completed(with help in the last hour) in 9 hours! The stylist there could not have had any classes on health of the hair because they were using products that contained a lot of alcohol which is very damaging to the hair. They also did not pay attention to the pulse/breakage points of the hair. Around the hairline and the top of the head is the place where you put the least amount of stress because if there is too much stress and pulling,the hair will break and not grow back around these areas! The stylist were not professional,there was lots of gossip and talking about clients in there native language.(Just because we don't know the language,doesn't mean we don't know when we are being talked about,especially when everyone looks at that person at the same time!) I can say this..If I EVER want my hair braided again, I know to search for a Licensed Natural Hair Stylist and not just a braid shop! Lesson is learned!

The first time I went to the shop the owner, Kine, did my hair and it was fast. She does a really great job and is about business. She will great you coming in the door and try her best to help you with your style selection. However, when Kine is not there the rest of the girls loose their minds. They hoochie dance, disrespect clients, talk on the phone, etc. So, if you plan on getting your hair done ask for Kine or go on a day when Kine will be there.
