In 2002, an engaged couple had seen my fashion photography work through Middle Tennessee State University and local publications, they loved my eye and heart for photography so they hired me to capture there wedding story and Frozen Exposure Photography was established. After photographing their wedding, I realized I was MADE for weddings and all that it entailed! My husband, Bobby, joined me in 2010, initially to follow me around and help me with the equipment (I was pregnant with our first baby at the time). I put a camera in his hands and Frozen Exposure Photography became Frozen Exposure Photo & Cinema, we’ve been an inseparable wedding photography & cinematography business team ever since! Frozen Exposure Photo & Cinema is made up of two professional photographers, owners Bobby and Tanya Macks, two professional cinematographers, Mathew and Josh, and photo & cinema assistant LJ. We have experience capturing traditional, multi-cultural, and rustic indoor and outdoor wedding stories all over the U.S. with a concentration in Nashville, Franklin, Memphis, Knoxville, and Chattanooga Tennessee. We do love to travel! At Frozen Exposure we believe weddings are too important for inexperienced “partner” or “associate” photographers who often times are student interns in the beginning stages of learning digital photography and postproduction. Wedding clients deserve well-trained photographers and cinematographers who have taken the time to receive higher education in the arts and business. Weddings are one of the most complex events a photo and cinema artist will ever capture. Unlike in a studio or styled shoot, the lighting and exposure constantly changes through out the wedding day. We believe in capturing the moments of our clients wedding day artistically in camera using the RAW format so that the highest resolution possible is preserved in the file. Postproduction software like Photo Shop and Light room are an important part of the process but cannot repair an image that wasn’t captured correctly to begin with. At Frozen Exposure we are dedicated to providing each of our clients a professional yet personable experience while capturing their wedding story with high-resolution images and high definition video. We combine the photography styles of photojournalism, fine art portraiture, and creative angles into each wedding day collection. Our clients are able to relive their wedding story through high-resolution professionally edited candid moments, traditional portraits, and creatively angled images and cinematic films. We provide each of our clients an optional complimentary art consultation at our studio where they can use their images to design custom storybook albums, wall décor and much more from professional labs only available to vetted, licensed photographers.
