I cannot currently afford a trip to England, so my second-best option, I have decided, is a trip to Fleet Street Pub downtown. Like every good English pub, the food is greasy, the beer is plentiful, and the service is shoddy.
The prices of well drinks are solid: Approximately $5 for a standard well drink, with more expensive drinks going up to $12.50. The food is just what you would expect; there is grease, there are crisps and "chips," and everything is fried. It is not a Weight Watchers-friendly experience.
The best reason to come here is the atmosphere. It is the kind of bar where you can actually hear people speak and hold a genuine conversation. If you are looking to grind against scantily dressed women, this is probably not your place; if you are looking to share a beer with friends while drowning your diet in grease, this is your spot.
Fair warning, however: Every time we come here, our service is slow, to say the least. You can almost burn off the greasy food just by the frantic arm waving to get your server over to your table every half hour or so. Don't drink your beer too quickly, or you will be sorely parched by the time you get your next one.

No live music, but a jukebox full of rock music, real (not electronic) dartboards, a couple of cozy lounge areas to relax in, and a terrific atmosphere.Escape the craziness of Broadway, and visit a British pub in the heart of downtown Nashville.
