Dollar Tree

I have only shopped at this particular Dollar Tree a time or two, but I have never had a problem. I have always been able to find what I am looking for.

Always lots of things to look at. My daughter likes to go and pick out a few toys.

Okay. Here is my deal with this particular Dollar Tree. About a month ago, I was in this store shopping. I frequently shop with Dollar Tree for several reasons. On this particular day, i was walking the aisles and over heard the manager ( a male) talking to his co-worker. I was utterly disgusted with what I heard. First of all, I am a gay male that already has to deal with homophobes on a regular basis, which is sad @ this day and age. As I am walking closer to the cash register, I overheard the manager cursing and telling his employee that he hates f**king FA*S! I was livid. Instead of overreacting to his ignorance, I silently and patiently waited on the clerk to finish ringing up the person in line. I then asked for Corporate telephone number and he asked me why I needed it. I then prompted to him that I overheard his conversation with his employee and I didn't appreciate the nasty remarks he had just made about homosexuals. He turned white as a sheet and apologized. Well, this apology meant nothing to me since the remarks that were made were un-acceptable. He, and his co-worker never did give me the number. Of course I made a call to another location and they gave me the corporate telephone number. Well, a month and a week later, and several emails and un-returned phone calls later, I have yet to hear from anyone at the Dollar Tree Corporate Office. This is alarming that they don't even care enough to call me back on this IMPORTANT issue. So, I do not recommend this particular store, OR the Dollar Tree Company in general.
