Overall

I wish I'd read these reviews before coming here. The owner is extremely rude and actually got into a shouting match with one of her employees while I was getting my hair done. Also, my hair looked awful. I'm never going back to this place. Ever.

Overall
Awful!!

The service was decent until the end when it was time to pay. First off the owner said it would be 195 then when I got ready to pay she changed her mind to 220 and she said it was because I got it long. Now someone came in after me..who also left before me and she got the same length and was charged 180. Cocumba charges what she wants to certain people. She was really rude to me and I won't ever be back there.

First of all 5 women in the shop no customers. all of them sitting looking at me like I'm alien. I walked in to inquire about a touchup. Finally, one of one them mumbled something. I was able to make out "$20 a row". I tried asking for clarity and she just stared at me. I finally walked out. The place didn't feel right to me. I would never ever go back!

Overall

Let me start by saying that my wife and I have been taking our twin daughters to Comba for nearly 3 years. When we went in this morning to get their hair braided, there was staff of 5 in the shop: (3) were already with customers. Yet no one greeted us and it took several minutes before Comba herself approached us to offer service. I did show Comba a picture of exactly what I wanted and immediately informed her that I wanted free-flowing braids/ braided to the end. She responded, "ok no problem". Near the end, I noticed that their hair was not braided to the end. When I asked about it, Coumba replied, "yes, but we will have to tie it so it won't come loose". I said ok, but keep in mind I am not a stylist and didn't fully understand what tying it to the end really meant. The end result was that neither of my daughters had their hair braided to the end as I requested; it was braid in the style Comba saw fit to do it. She told me to buy the right kind of hair next time! And while we were still discussing the matter, Coumba walked away from our conversation and began talking to a new customer: She was rude and disrespectful to me and still expected to be paid for a job she did not complete! Their communication level and customer service are well below what I expect as a customer. No there won't be a next time, as I will never patronize Comba African Hair Braiding again!

Overall

The lady that did my hair was very nice, however the owner is very rude and disrespectful. I called the day before to inquire about what appeared to be my braids falling out in the front. Coumba told me to come the next day and they would take care of it. I got there and showed her but she rudely dismissed what I and another customer could see that were coming off. But for some reason she didn't see it. Even the lady that did my hair could seeit and so polite and resolved it. Coumba got very upset about it and began yelling andof course me being a laying customer an over $200 paying customer responded andexplained to her about paying customers and business. COUMBA won't ever get my business ever again. The place is vey unsanitary and dirty. COUMBA is very disrespectful and a disgrace to women of color-the African Heritage

Overall

Let me start off by saying that I have been getting my hair braided for at least 3 years by Comba and her employees. Unfortunately, each year my experience gets worse and worse each time. Comba and her employees have always been a little stand offish and rude but I excused that seeing as I needed my hair braided and they were the only people that I knew could do a good job. Each the prices seem to get higher (because of demand I'm sure) and they seem to get more rude and disrespectful. This last time that I went (which has been in the last week) it took 8 damn hours to do a 4 hour job. She overcharged me and before I left the shop a couple of my braids had fallen out. I excused it because I understand that things happen. Since then SEVERAL of my twist have fallen out and of course Comba's have given me several reasons as to why they have fallen out. Unfortunately for them I've paid them $200 so I could give a damn why they think that it is okay that my twist are no longer in my head. Moral of the story? Save your money and shop around else where. For $200 I wouldn't pay for rude service and twist that fall out before I leave the shop. Needless to say I will not being going back and will be going to a place recommend by my stylist.

Comba, Comba, Comba....

I've been to this salon a few times and they did a VERY neat job with my hair. I don't like the fact that speaking English is almost rocket science to the staff.

The salon is in need of some MAJOR repairs.

I needed my hair washed and I had to get my hair washed in the sink in the BATHROOM, STANDING/BENDING OVER THE SINK, WHILE THE YOUNG LADY SCOOPED WATER FROM A DAMN BUCKET TO WASH MY HAIR....(OMG)!!!!

A little over priced -

But if you dont mind all of that, you might like this salon -
