Doug Sauls Bar-B-Que & Seafood

First time eating here and didn’t enjoy it really at all. The guy taking my order had a nonchalant attitude. After ordering my food me and my wife had to wait for a table because there was no tables cleaned off from previous people sitting there. After about 5 mins waiting for a table my food took about 20 mins to get to us. My wife’s bbq sandwich wasn’t even hot and the bun was hard as a brick. My pork chop dinner was over cooked and the whole plate just looked a mess. Not including multiple flies in there flying around, it was just very hot and crowded. Overall really just a nasty environment.

The owner was really rude. The food took way to long to the to my table, my chicken was over cooked and there was flys flying around everywhere just not a very organised place to eat.

I had the pleasure of eating in Doug Sauls BBQ and Seafood on 2/19/2008. Acually it was my birthday. Four of us traveled from Wake Forest and Youngsville to have lunch here. We were all impressed. Being an old Wilson Co. fellow I know a few things about good eastern N.C. BBQ. This BBQ will rate right up there with the best of them. The flavor is excellent and the Q is very moist. Everything we at was excellent and the staff was friendly, personable and very professional. While standing in line to place my order I noticed two gentleman enjoying some fried seafood. I asked them if they were enjoying their lunch.... One gentleman looked up from his plate with a big ole' grin and replied, "I sure am", and went right back to eating. I'll certainly be back for a seafood lunch soon. Do you have a web address for the restaurant...?
