Goodwill NYNJ Store & Donation Center

I tried to return an item after 5 business days and could not even get a store credit or make an exchange. I had the original bag, tags intact and receipt but 7 actual days had passed and the cashier stated because they were open 7 days I had exceeded their 5 day policy.
Over the years I have made many donations to this store. the purchase i made was my first and will be my last.
I could have been more understanding if it had been more than a week but seriously, 7 days and I cant even do an exchange. What this policy has done is created "ill will" not "good will".
I am very disappointed and will now seek an organization with better business practices to be the recipient of any and all future donations.
