The Grooming Room

I have been bringing my furbabies into The Grooming Room for well over 10 years and I have never had anything but a wonderful experience.My dogs just love the staff and I can see that the feeling is mutual with how they treat them. They do such a wonderful job with them and I have never been dissatisfied with the price or the work done. I brought my Gracie there today for an oatmeal bath and nail trim. She smells great and was prancing around happy because they make her feel so good. I highly recommend this salon for any of your dog grooming needs. The service and pricing are both excellent.

I've been bringing my dogs here for years and I have never had bad service nor have my dogs ever caught anything there! They're always groomed so nicely and the staff is always courteous and kind, especially to my elderly dogs. My pets never mind going there. The prices are much better than any of the other groomers around here too.

Thank you for your support Becky P. You are absolutely correct. Kennel cough has an incubation period of over a week, and when Lindsay T. left a message on my machine telling me that her dog caught Kennel cough here the night before, I called her back. I also got HER answering machine and left her a very nice message, thanking her for calling, but also informing her that what she claimed was not possible. Again, I thanked her for telling us that she had brought kennel cough in so that we could do extra cleaning. Never "screamed" at her, and thanked her twice, so..again thank you Becky P, and everyone should get their pets vaccinated against Kennel cough before bringing them to a groomer or a dog park.

Lindsay T. - i find it very .hard to believe that your dog got kennel cough at The Grooming Room. There is an incubation period for kennel cough and I am sure your veterinarian has also told you that that are different strands of kennel cough. Was your dog vaccinated? I have tried numerous dog groomers since moving to the Grand Haven area but I am willing to drive the extra distance for The Grooming Room because Joan and her staff are very caring and their prices are reasonable and all four of my dogs have gotten great cuts - even the one who was a biter and very matted. I would highly suggest that before you write a review that could hurt someone's business that you do go elsewhere and compare the service you get. I have tried 6 different groomers and this is a great place! I would give it six stars if I coud!

My dog got kennel cough after being here and the owner screamed at me over the phone. The staff didn't schedule appropriately for the pick up time I needed and I had to wait 20 mins for my dog. I would highly suggest going elsewhere

I personally think that this place is a great place to bring your dog to get groomed. I take my dogs here every month. They are reasonable and always great to my dogs. They always greet me and they automatically know who I am there to pick up. Ask me if they look good. They do have a sign that says something about when you pay for your dog you are saying you are satisfied with your animals groom and service. They are great people and if you weren't happy with your service you should let them know because they are great people and fix whatever your not satisfied with! I recommend everybody to get your dog or cat groomed there. :)

The staff was very rude to both me and my dog. My dog was hesitant to go into the crate and they simply shoved him in there and closed the door (let alone the crate was full of dog hair). When I came back to get him they said nothing to me and just passed him off. I wasn't sure what I owed or who to pay, let alone common courtesy is to at least say here's "so and so", he did so good or at least ask how I think he looks. I would NEVER go back to this place.

The staff is courteous and friendly. They treat our pets well and have them looking their best in a timely fashion. I would highly recommend! I think they run some sort of special for new customers too.
