First National Bank

I was pre-approved and told to go ahead and sell my current home, which I did and it took some time, went back to the bank to get things rolling once my house was under contract and they tell me I am not approved, even though I had received a raise and my credit score went up since I first applied. They even started making up lies when I told them how disappointed I was in their whole process. So now I'm homeless and have to start all over with another bank.

I received a quote for a homeowner's loan from Gayle. I received a quote of 3.25% by phone, but I found out while signing documents in closing that the rate was switched to 3.75%. The loan is a 30 year fixed FHA with a median credit score of 696. I was also received misinformation in regards to the Welcome Home Fund grant. This grant helps pay closing costs and down payments for eligible borrowers. Based on Gayle's bait and switch tactics and her unwillingness to research and check facts before giving information, I would advise not to conduct business with this person or this particular branch of FNB. I may file a complaint with the BBB and the State of Tennessee Department of Financial Institutions. This has been a very stressful experience for my wife and I.
