Founded in 1966, Mountain Brook High School is a three-year public high school located on 25 acres of land and serves more than 1,000 students in grades 9 through 12. It is a national Blue Ribbon school that offers a range of academic courses, such as math, foreign languages, fine arts, English, social studies, science, physical education, art and driver's education. Mountain Brook High School also offers a special education program for children with disabilities. It additionally provides guidance counseling to students. The school s library has a collection of various books, newspapers, magazines, audiovisual materials and literary journals. It provides opportunities to participate in a variety of athletic activities, such as basketball, track and field, golf, lacrosse, softball, swimming, tennis, volleyball, wrestling, baseball and football. The high school is located in Mountain Brook, Ala.
