The Morris County Art Association, a non-profit organization, provides professional fine art instruction for adults and children in the community. In September of 1935 local artists and professional painters working on dioramas at Morristown's Washington's Headquarters formed the Morristown Art Association (MCAA). We held regular meetings at members' homes and various other sites until 1956 when we purchased "The Studio", a historic stable on 10 Catherine Lane, Morristown, NJ. Since then, we have concentrated on providing quality visual art classes for adults and children, art exhibits of members' works with opening receptions, juried and open, on and off-site gallery exhibits, and weekend workshops conducted by renowned artists in the fields of expertise. Morris County Art Association continues its mission as a non-profit organization providing professional fine art instruction to people in the community. We keep our instructors up-to-date offering new, creative and innovative skills such as our current Book Arts Workshop. Funding for this project has been made possible through the Arts Council of the Morris Area/Dodge Foundation Partnership Grant Program. Morris County Art Association holds an annual weekend Fine Arts & Crafts Festival every June at the grounds of the Vail Mansion on South Street in Morristown where juried fine artists and artisans from Florida to Maine show and sell their works of watercolors, oils, photos, pastels, sculptures, printmaking, jewelry, woodwork, handmade clothing, etc. Our classes run Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. Membership offers discounted costs of classes, our newsletter, The Artists Voice, entrance to weekly Life Classes at the Morristown Studio, the opportunity to show work at Open Members' Exhibits, work space in Open Studio and so much more!Funding has been made possible in part by funds from the Arts Council of Morris Area through the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the Na
