I'm writing this review in response the the negative reviews I
found when reviewing this company. All too often, customers will only
leave a review when something goes wrong. Many decent companies, who
do the right things for their customers, never get the credit they
deserve. People get the service they expect and go on their way
without another thought. I think Quality TV & Video Repair Center deserves praise for my recent experience with them. My Sony HD TV was not turning on. I went to
the Sony website and followed the "Troubleshooting" instructions to
see if I could fix the problem. When that didn't work I spent an
enormous amount of time trying to see if my TV was covered under
warranty. The Sony website does not make this an easy task. The
phone number on the site was out of service, and the new number never
picked up. With no other solutions, I called Quality TV & Video Repair who responded to my home within an hour. I was met by Barry who was a very nice and personable guy. He has been in the TV repair business so long -30 years- people
call him "Barry TV". Barry and his co-worker checked my TV and
determined that it had to go in to the shop for repair. I gave a Barry $100 deposit with the understanding that he would let me know the full cost after diagnosing
the problem at the shop. Fast forward one day-Sony finally responded
to my calls about warranty coverage and said that my warranty was
still in effect. I immediately called Barry to ask him to not service
the TV because Sony said they would do it for free. Barry was
completely understanding and arranged to return my broken TV. He even
took the the time to answer my call on and early Saturday morning, his
day off, before he had coffee! Please keep an open mind when reading
negative reviews. I would not hesitate to use this service again as
Barry was a true professional.

Zero star.
PLEASE don’t use their service, they are all liers, scammers and much more. They picked up my tv and my one hundred dollars several months ago, they never repaired it, they never returned my money, they lied about order “parts” and never said how much parts were. They sometimes answer the phone but nobody identifies at the phone, no manager’s name nor last name. How long will they be allowed to steal money and tv s from customers? Who can stop them? My overall rating is ZERO stars

I wish I had read these reviews before I turned over my 55inch Panasonic TV in which o also paid $100 deposit and was told the estimate would be to have the motherboard replaced in approximately 3 hrs estimating it would cost $377. I was informed the tv was fixed the next morning and the total is $508 total and $408 after deducting the $100 deposit. I am now very skeptical about giving them anymore money...wondering if I should just purchase a new tv????

Just sent to Brenda Baquero at NBC:
Dear Ms. Baquero,

I have attached a copy of a receipt I received when I called TV Repairs "R" Us on 6/29/2015.

Two gentlemen came to my house to pick up my TV, which was not working.I was told that the estimate was $400. At the time, I said there was no way that I was going to pay that. Rich, the guy who picked it up, said that it was an estimate and that I would be called before the work commenced, with what would be the cost for parts and labor.

The TV is a
VIZIO M470NV 47-Inch 1080p LED LCD HDTV with VIZIO Internet Application, Black (2010 Model).

I originally bought the TV at Costco for about $699.00.

I was told that my TV would be delivered to my home, repaired, a week after the pick up.

I called 10 days later and was told that they had to order a "part". I asked how much the part was. I was told, "I don't know". I have been a buyer for 30 years with major retailers, and I can assure you no one orders anything without knowing the cost.

I told them that I would pick up the TV and was told, "you CANNOT pick it up".

At this point, I decided something was very "fishy" and said that I would pay the $67.00 to get the TV back (that was the amount I was told on the phone that would be charged if work was not performed).

I was told to call Rich. I called Rich and he told me that he would bring the TV back. That was 6 weeks ago! I have contacted the Better Business Bureau and basically, they did nothing!

I have included below, a link with two reviews from the Yellow pages.

I believe these guys are "stealing" the TV's and reselling them.

DO NOT USE THEM! This is not a TV repair shop- it's a front. There are no TV repairmen here- only thieves. They go under several different names, TV repairs R us and Steve's repairs, but they are all the same outfit of criminals. I found them under what appears to be a bogus web site called TVTechs, a site that looks like a legit national business that hooks you up with local repair shops. I'm pretty sure it's their own fake web site and is really just another part of the scam.
They take your TV for repairs and then after a series of increasingly inane excuses of why they cant get it back to you, you realize you've been conned and it's too late. I don't believe the address is even real.
If you've already given them your TV for repairs, sorry its too late and you will never see that TV again.

I was in need of fixing my 8 year old 50" Plasma LG TV. I must say that I was quite skeptical using this company after reading all the very hatred like negative reviews. I was also a bit skeptical in repairing an 8 year old TV. However, it was such an amazing picture when it was working for the time I had it. There was not a single review that was even fair, let alone good. Since I really had nothing to lose but the $50.00 for the house call to get an on the spot diagnosis, I figured I would give it a try. They explained that the mother board was shot. Even as I helped the guy load my 50" TV into his van, I was still skeptical and wondered if a) I would ever see my TV again and b) if they would successfully repair it at a reasonable cost. They quoted me a one week turnaround time which is exactly the time it took. Well, I am happy to tell you that after six weeks time back in my home, my TV is like brand new. I could have spent $1,200.00 or more to replace the quality TV that was in need of repair or pay less than half that (actually about 1/3rd) amount to get a virtually brand new TV of great quality. They gave me an estimated 5 - 8 year new lease on life for what is now a second round of virtually a brand new TV. I told the owner (Barry, I believe is his name) that in light of such hatred like reviews, if he did the right thing, that I would only be too happy to write a positive review to offset all of his negative reviews which I am sure has hurt his reputation. I would certainly use him again. Naturally, everybody else clearly must have had different issues and a different negative experience. Not the case with me!!! Good job guys!

The man that answers the phone lies through his unprofessional, unethical teeth to try to lure you into this scam. Please seek out another TV repair business. He told me that my 40" TV could be fixed for "well under $250, he said that it could be fixed right in my home, he then said because I was a senior citizen and on disability and lived on a fixed income of $700 a month that they would work with me on the price. He said that the $65 service fee would be deducted from my bill and that I would get 10% off as well. I trusted what he told me, and allowed the service man to come to my home. He his name was Seth told me that the cheapest he could fix it for was $275 and the most was $350. If I did not allow him to fix it, I still would owe him $65. Knowing that a new 40" would be about $250, and then adding the $65 to that amount. No matter how you sliced it, I still would be paying over $300. I told them to go ahead and fix it. Of course they could not fix it in my home. I did not have a TV from May 14 to June 1. When Seth brought it back, he charged me the entire $350. I showed them my disability letter showing that I lived off $700 a month. I begged them to only take $300 if I paid in cash, so that I could have some food in the house. He said no. They did not give me the $65 towards the repair, or the 10% off. The TV broke again 5 minutes after they left. They came back on June 4, and I am still waiting to hear back from them. Hopefully they do not want any more money. They said that maybe the new board they put in was faulty. I also had to borrow money to pay for the rent and utilities for the month, and had to go to the food pantry to get some food in the house. The man on the phone that I originally spoke to was very hostile and disrespectful, and at times would not give Seth my messages. Seth then gave me his cell phone number, I verified this number with him twice, and it would not go through to him. Instead a woman named Marion kept picking up. Life lesson, if your TV of only 3 years breaks down. Throw it out and get a new one. End up paying about $100 less. DO NOT USE THIS REPAIR SERVICE! They will rip you off no matter how poor you are. They do not have a heart to anyone, from a senior, a disabled person, a veteran, nobody. I hope this review helps someone in need to save some money.

This is the WORST Tv repair service ever and it seems like they go by different names,on their invoice its TV repairs "R" us .Initially ,i contacted a steves repair service and here on the YP it's Quality repair service .These guys took my TV over a month ago and never bothered to give me feedback until i called them over and over again.Till date they haven't given me any substantial information about my SONY 40 inch TV.They are so rude and arrogant.0% telephone etiquette. The last time i called them was when they remembered to call the manufacturer. Can you beat that? They are the WORST business people i have come in contact with and i am very sure they will not last long in the industry.I intend to pursue my case with them with consumer protection and possibly a lawsuit. You are better off getting a new TV than dealing with these guys. They aren't worth the trouble.if there was a 0 stars ,that's exactly what they deserve.
