A friend of mine purchased a License Plate Bar 7/8" Mount for my birthday. She purchased it online and did not realize that I needed the 3/8 mount instead of the 7/8 mount. I thanked her and thought to myself no big deal. I can probably swap it out with the manufacturer.



Tracy VanAuken is the gal that I was dealing with and she was nice but she said that I needed to buy a whole seperate base for $36.95 plus shipping. Mind you this is the base to mount a flag on my bike. Obviously that is way to much.



She started to bend a little and told me that if I had a receipt and if it was in perfect condition then I could return the one that didnt fit and she would replace it and send me the one that does fit.



The only thing that I am missing here is the receipt. I do have the part that is in brand new condition and I am totally cool with paying for shipping both ways.



Personally in my business I have made exceptions like this when the customer is willing to pay for shipping. Heck sometimes I would even just send out another smally tiny part for free just to make them happy.



This is not the route that Pro Pad Inc. went in this situation and now I am kind of bummed. It looks like they make decent products but in my opinion, their customer service is lacking.
