South Lake Fence of Lake County

RANT! SOUTH LAKE FENCE I had damage to my rear fence from Hurricane Irma. Called south lake fence as they installed the fence for the original owner who I bought home from. Agreed to replace fence along back property as well as remove the damaged fence. Paid 50% of the $1500 upfront and balance due upon completion. On October 26 two workers came out and began work on fence and came back on the 27th and installed back fence, left 3 or 4 posts without concrete reinforcement due to water level being high and near posts. Assured me they would pour concrete as soon as lake level went down some. Also, did not install a drop rod on gate so gate swings open with any wind or any nudge from my dogs.

It is now 2 months after installation and despite 6 requests from me about drop rod (and 3 promises from Kim that someone would be out that day to put in drop rod,it still hasn't been done. I've put buckets of water on each side of gate to try to keep it closed but on 4 or 5 occasions my dogs have pushed buckets over, gotten out of my yard and run into neighbor's yards and my road. This should have been done on October 26 or 27th. It's a 5 minute job, Kim keeps assuring me a worker will be out but no one has ever come out.

Water is more than 5 foot from fence posts but still no concrete. Old fence is in water 2 to 3 feet deep and Kim says previous workers had leeches get on them. I've lived on John's lake over 50 years and at this home for 10 years and have never seen a leech in this lake.

Unfortunately, I paid the remaining balance of $750 on October 27th because one of the workers named Chris, assured me the drop rod would be put in right away, the old fence would be removed within 1 week, and the concrete would be poured as soon as lake went down. I notified Kim over 1 month ago concrete could be poured and for 2 months I've tried unsuccessfully to get drop rod. I told her I didn't want to post a negative review but would if she continued to lie to me. I am at my wits end. Hoping this will get them to complete my job. If not, BBB and small claims court are next.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. Do not pay them until ENTIRE JOB IS DONE. Zero stars. Awful company to deal with.
