Overall
Disgraceful Nursing Home

I was mistakenly sent to this NURSING HOME, instead of to a true REHAB facility, after spending over a month in the hospital and being in need of both Physical & Occupational therapies before being able to return home to my split-level house.

The third day I spent at Woodhaven, I fell *hard* onto the tile floor in my room. Although I screamed when I fell and was crying loudly, no one came to help me for many minutes... in spite of at least 3 staff members being right outside of my room in the hallway. The reason I know that this is where they were is that they were talking about me (spitefully) and making no attempt to hide that fact.

Lucky for me, I had my cell phone in my pocket, because otherwise I'd probably still be stuck on that floor! In order to get anything done, I had to call a family member & have them call the administrators of the facility to *demand* that I be sent to the hospital's E.R. (instead of just having one of the staff contact the facility's *one* doctor). During that whole discussion (in excess of 10 minutes because Woodhaven wanted to do the X-rays themselves and run the results past their doctor before sending me off-site) I was left sitting on the floor, crying.

Meanwhile, 4 or 5 people came into my room in rapid succession to see what happened (again not until after the administrator came in because my family called them). These staff folks then immediately turned around and left again without a single comforting word, touch, or even glance. It wasn't until the 5th and/or 6th person entered the room that I felt anyone had any interest in actually helping or soothing me. Those last two people were the ones who did finally get me up off of the floor and back into bed. They also calmed me down enough to speak coherently and stayed with me until I had regained my composure.

I found the rest of the staff to be very unprofessional; *cussing* on a regular basis in front of myself and other residents, *lying* outright to myself and other residents about things which had been done and things which would be done. Also, they were very *indifferent (if not outwardly hostile) to my requests for assistance* with various things I could not do for myself. Sadly, it was a common thing for staff members to *discuss (in unkind words) the patients* well within ear-shot and audible range of the person being discussed.

In summation, *I would rather put a bullet in my head* than stay another day, let alone the end of my days, at Woodhaven or a facility with similarly uncaring staff who are obviously just there to collect a paycheck for as little input as they can get away with.
