MJM Automotive

At first I was very pleased with the service and salesmanship of the business. I purchased an SUV and paid cash for it. It was a 2005 Toyota 4Runner, very nice. Paid $6,000 for it and was very pleased. I purchased it on a Saturday and on Monday was going to take it to the Toyota dealer to get the oil changed, tires rotated, and filters replaced. However Monday didn’t work out, so we planned for Tuesday morning. Upon getting in the suv on Tuesday morning the check engine light came on, so I figured it was good timing to take it to the dealership. I dropped it off at the dealership and asked them to do a normal oil change, filter replacement, and rotate tires. I called there attention to the attendant and they assured me they would do a diagnostic test on the suv to determine why the check engine light was on and what needed to be done. I was called by the attendant and was told that the technician was still working to determine the problem, so it stayed overnight. Today, Wednesday, the attendant called me after lunch and told me the BAD news. All 4 of the head gaskets needed to be replaced and needed a new battery. By the way, the normal service was done. To say the least I was dumbfounded. The total bill is $3500. Sincer MJM Automotive has a no warranty program and a non-deliberation clause, there is nothing I can do, except pay the bill and know that my suv will be better than it was when I bought it. Would I recommend MJM Automotive to anyone? The answer is “Absolutely Not!” I feel they are not a reputable car dealer. I would hope they read this and realize that return business is the way to stay in business and that a negative rating does not help then stay in business. I tried to reach out to Joseph and he told me I had an attitude when I reached out to him. I feel that he and the business is NOT a reputable business and I will NOT recommend MJM Automotive to anyone. Joseph told me that if I would have nicer he might would have helped me some on the bill - NOT!
