THIS IS THE WORST GYM EXPERIENCE!!! They facility itself is pretty nice but the people working there have completely ruined it for me!! My husband and I signed up about 5 months ago and were very excited to start working out. We opted to pay more up front (about $350) to get a cheaper monthly payment ($20 each). We were happy for the first few weeks but wanted to kick it up to the next level so we started asking about the trainer programs. We talked to the manager at the Missouri City branch and he only wanted to tell us about the once-a-week session (which was over $500 a month!) and was not interested in talking about any other options. He was rude and pushy so I called the Sugar Land location the next day and they told me about a $90-a-month plan (which the other guy didn’t even mention). So, out of frustration and annoyance, we drove 25 miles to workout at the Sugar Land location (even though we live 8 miles away from the Missouri City location). We were really enjoying our training sessions but now we just bought a new home so we want to try to save money. When we originally signed up, the guy made a big deal about how we could freeze our account at any time and reactivate it later. So I called to freeze our accounts and that’s when they decided to tell me there’s a $10 fee per person PER MONTH to keep the accounts frozen! Uhhh… no one mentioned that before. So now, after so much frustration with this company I just want to cut my losses and cancel my account…. Apparently that’s harder to do that you’d think, too. I called the gym and they said I have to come in and do it in person. So I drove all the way out there and the guy who does it wasn’t there but the girl made him a note to do it for me in the morning and that I’d get a conformation email. So a few days went by and I didn’t get any email BUT I DID GET CHARGED FOR THE NEXT MONTH’S MEMBERSHIP!! So I went back in (and talked to the same girl from the week before) and said that my account was never canceled. She said she could still see her note to him but didn’t know why he hadn’t done it yet and that I could request cancelation through the mail. But how I get my $40 back from the membership charge… no one knows of course. So, for me this is an ongoing battle but you can save yourself to hassle! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! DO NOT SIGN UP WITH LA FITNESS!! ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY!!! BELIEVE ME!!! WORKING OUT WITH SOUP CANS IN YOUR LIVING ROOM IS BETTER THAN THIS PALCE!!!
