Family Medicine-Missouri City

I found this doctor's office because it was close to my house and I was in need of a doctor quickly for an injury. I walked in and almost walked out. It just did not look like the type of doctor's office that was clean, neat, up to date, or very inviting. Dirty walls, broke down furniture, out dated literature. I didn't wait too long, but when I was called to go to the back, I had to pass thru the biggest mess I had ever seen of "records" or whatever all of those papers were. Anyway, the doctor seemed to be a nice lady, but she couldn't immediately diagnose me. So she sent me off for further tests. No problem, this is standard. I was told I would hear back from someone within 24 hours. Well, it had been longer than that and I hadn't heard back, so I called to follow-up. I got information from the other location that they had faxed over my results 2 times the previous day, but yet the doctor's office said they did not have them. When I told the doctor's office that the results had been sent over with exact times of the fax, the lady on the phone says "OK, so what do you want me to do?" If it weren't for my injury, I would have fallen out of my chair. I politely asked her to go look for them and let me know what my next steps are. She did and returned to the phone to tell me that the results were indeed on the fax machine. No apologies for the delayed wait in hearing back from the doctor. I am usually not much of a complainer, but when it comes to health issues, I am a stickler for quality care. In normal circumstances I would have just waited to find another doctor's office, but again, my injury could not wait much longer. Like I said, the doctor was nice, but her office staff is questionable and the office is not nice at all. If you need someone in the area, then OK. But I would certainly look around for other offices before settling for this one.
