Medical Weight Loss
Change in size or shape may occur after pregnancy, significant weight gain or weight loss. Though the breast is recreated into a more youthful shape, your skin may continue to stretch over time as a natural result of aging and gravity.
Primary Care
The typical healing for returning to work is 3 weeks, and patients or instructed to wear a binder for about 4 weeks. Because this procedure is a gender affirming surgery, rather than a cancer procedure, there is some residual breast tissue left to prevent a concavity deformity and such that the chest looks masculine, rather than surgical. This does mean that you would need to continue breast cancer screening as recommended by your primary care doctor as you age.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
A short list of common hand conditions that we treat include trigger finger, carpal tunnel syndrome, cysts/noncancerous tumors of the hand, and Dupuytren’s contracture. For most simple, straightforward procedures, we prefer to use a numbing block of the hand with deep sedation in consultation with the anesthesia team.

Mammography
Breast augmentation does not increase your risk of breast cancer and does not preclude breast cancer screening. Special x-ray views of the breast called compression views may be obtained after augmentation. It is recommended that you proceed with breast cancer mammography screening as recommended by your doctor, based on your age and family history or personal risk of breast cancer. If you are 40 years or older, we recommend that you have a mammogram prior to surgery.

Mohs Surgery
Mohs surgery is a technique performed by a dermatologist who specializes in the procedure. Pieces of a skin cancer are removed, processed, and analyzed on the same day under a microscope to determine if all of the cancer has been removed. This is a way of ensuring more of the borders of the skin cancer has been analyzed. Most of the time, the dermatologist feels comfortable closing the wound. However, occasionally the resultant wound is too large, and is then referred to a plastic surgeon to repair. Typical repair techniques include using a skin graft, flaps of surrounding tissue, or flaps of tissue from another area.

Botox
Botox relaxes muscles that cause facial wrinkles. Areas commonly targeted include furrows between the eyes, forehead lines and crows feet around the eyes. It is helpful for wrinkles that form due to muscle motion of the face. Botox can also be used to change the brow position of the face. Over time, regular treatment with Botox can decrease the bulkiness of the facial muscles that are treated. The effects last 3 to 6 months.
Liposuction
Liposuction enhances body shape by sculpting away stubborn areas of fat. The procedure targets fat pockets that persist despite diet and exercise. Liposuction is most effective in men or women who do not have much skin overhang and are already close to their desired body weight. Common areas targeted are chin, abdomen, hips, thighs, back and bra rolls.
Breast Augmentation
There are many reasons you may be considering breast augmentation. You may feel that your breasts are too small and want to achieve a more feminine figure or fit into your clothes more proportionally. Perhaps you prefer the larger breast size you experienced during pregnancy. Many women find that breast augmentation helps them feel better about how they look and feel.
Breast Reduction
Large breasts can cause significant back and neck pain. Some women with large breasts feel self-conscious about the way they look. Breast reduction reshapes and removes excess breast tissue and skin, resulting in a more youthful and proportional appearance. The nipple and areola are moved to sit higher on the recreated breast mound. Women who undergo a reduction often have less back and neck pain than before and may be able to do physical activities they could not do prior to surgery.
Breast Lift
When a breast lift is performed, a striking result is that as the extra skin is tightened, breasts that were widened and flattened become rounder and better positioned on the chest. More fullness is seen of the upper half of the breast. This surgery can bring a lot of satisfaction for women who are already happy with the size of their chest, but the skin has started to sag over time due to pregnancy or age.
