Schulhof Property Management

This is my third year living at one of the Schulhof properties, and it's been a great experience the entire time. The rent has been cheap, maintenance has always taken care of issues quickly for me, and I don't have any complaints. I would recommend them to anyone looking for housing around Marquette.

Excellent timing with repairs. They were done very quickly. I'm happy with the service. I would recommend them to anyone.

Aweful customer service. Terrible communication between management and landlord. We were asked to move out early since the next tenants needed to move in earlier. We decided to be nice and went out of our way to move out early because we were promised a prorated amount. My building supervisor agreed to a pro-rated amount, but apparently "the boss" didn't approve it, so we didn't get our full security deposit back. This was told to us AFTER moving out early. "The boss" seems to make all the decisions, but there's no way to communicate directly with him.

I had the absolute worst experience I've ever had renting through this company. Similar to previous posts the lady that answers the phone is extremely rude and not at all helpful. It takes them forever to fix anything and every time you call they have a different excuse for why it wasn't fixed yet. At one point my bathtub wasn't draining at all and when I called for the fourth time to have it fixed I was told that it wasn't important enough and that I should just use it and wash my feet after. They also lost my rent check twice but blamed it on me. I had two people literally yelling at me on the phone when I called to let them know my concerns about them losing that much money. They told me that I was probably just an unorganized young person that forgot to turn the check in and was now blaming it on them. They even threatened to evict me even though they didn't let me know the check was missing for almost 3 weeks. I've never been treated by any business like I was by the people at Schulhof Properties. Do not rent from them unless you want to have endless headaches. I will say that my apartment manager was awesome and I had no problems there but dealing with the company was an absolute nightmare.
