Meyer's Restaurant & Bar

I discovered this place recently and have eaten here with my friends four times. It's always pretty busy when we go, so the service is occasionally understandably slow. Despite that, all the servers have been friendly and helpful, and I've never had a bad experience. Our server tonight was Karen, who was friendly and good to us (thanks, Karen!) Now for the food: the broasted chicken is crispy outside and moist inside, the fried cod is perfect (the chicken–cod combo is a terrifice deal), the beef and barley soup is fantastic, likewise the beef vegetable soup, the stuffed sole was so-so (good flavor, but too soft and textureless for my taste), Reuben good but corned beef not as lean as I like (but I'm VERY picky about my corned beef). The desserts are delish, and most are big enough to share. I have to single out the apple streudel, which is made on the premises. This is a proper streudel made with a stretched dough (not papery filo), not over-sweetened. The best apple streudel I've had that wasn't made by my grandma. Plentiful delicious food and modest prices. I would recommend Meyer's to anyone.

Went there for a funeral dinner. The homestyle food was delicious. The chicken was awesome as were the potatoes & gravey. I can't wait to go back for another great meal.

I ate hear with my Uncle from Nevada and the food was awesome, done just the way it was ordered. Everyone was polite and curtious. I will stop back again.

The service at this restaurant is not good for my wife and I. They need to focus on all the customers and not only the regulars.
