Batzner Pest Control

I am an RN who is exposed to bed bugs from time to time on the job. Recently I took care of a patient who had a confirmed case of bed bugs, which I found out about 12 hours after taking care of the patient. I personally have never seen a bed bug. About 15 days later my husband and I found a dead bug in our bedroom. We were concerned it might be a bed bug but did not have any other signs or symptoms. It was the week of thanksgiving so it was difficult to find an exterminator to come out in a timely fashion for an inspection. Thankfully Orkin was able to send Michael Burns out to take a look. I showed him the sample of the dead bug and he stated it was a bed bug and we needed to treat our entire apartment. He offered to do an inspection but said it wasn't necessary if we found a dead one. The cost to treat would be $1,360. My husband and I trusted him since we had never experienced this before. However, I decided to get a second opinion due to the cost and Batzner sent someone out for an inspection the following Monday (3 days later) and their tech Jackie, stated it was DEFINITELY not a bed bug and we did not need to treat. She even inspected our home and didn't find any signs of them. Jackie showed me a sample of an adult bed bug that was about 3 times smaller than the bug we found. She educated me on the appearance of bed bugs and the difference in size.

Baztner also refunded our $200 for the inspection fee since there was no issue. My husband and I were very thankful for their expertise and excellent customer service. I also want to give an extra shout out to their tech Jackie who was so helpful during this whole situation.
