I am the owner of Body Harmony, in response to Ryan K's review. Ryan and Nicole rcvd certs each in their own name. Ryan rcvd a massage a few months ago and very much enjoyed the massage, he wanted to barter with me. His gift cert was used for his massage. He booked another massage a couple weeks ago, I had to cancel early that morning, not only his massage but all massage of the day. MY MOTHER DIED TWO WEEKS BEFORE, I WAS EMOTIONALLY EXHAUSTED, CRYING ALL NIGHT, COULD NOT FUNCTION THAT DAY. He walked in last Fri. and I was surprised because his massage was scheduled for Sat. not Fri. I was just about to leave the office, told Ryan I would make a phone call and give him a massage. He did not feel relaxed and did not want massage. I asked about his wife's cert he was planning on using. He ripped it up, threw it in the office and said he was going to wreck my business. Went storming out. Then he calls my business phone and threatens me a little more. My clients know me, I have integrity and am dedicated to my clients well being. Never have I dealt with a hostile client like this before.

Best massages ever

I want to share my wonderful experiences I have had with Donna. I have been going to Donna for massages for 3 years. She really knows her stuff. I am a medical provider and have received massages my whole life for a chronic illness so I have experienced many massages. Donna individualizes the massage to the needs of the client. I especially do well with cupping and there are few if any providers that offer or have any experience with cupping. Donna is a genuine person who's business practices are ethical and realistic. I have only good things to say!

I’m writing this review for two reasons. The first being that I too am a business owner and truly appreciate the importance of good business practices especially in regards to customer care. The second reason is that I have never in my life had such an awful experience as a customer as I did today. I have been in to see Donna once before as my wife and I were given two gift certificates as part of a wedding gift. I used one a few months ago and thought Donna did a relatively good job. My wife does not like massage so she insisted that I use her gift cert so it does not go to waste, which I was more than pleased to do. Donna cancelled my appointment the morning of claiming she was not up to it since she was dealing with family issues and did not sleep well. I felt sincerely sorry for her and made it a point to make sure she knew it was fine. A week later I scheduled another appointment. When I walked in she looked at me as if I shouldn’t be there. She explained that she thought I booked for Saturday and not Friday. I explained that we are having out of state guests all weekend and that I would never have done that. She proceeded to look extremely irritated and said in a very frustrated voice, “come on, and let’s just do it. I just need to make a phone call.” She appeared frazzled so I suggested coming back another time and she was persistent with her unfriendly offering of just-get-on-the-table type of attitude. At this point I could not feel any more unwelcome so I said to her “I think I will pass since this is not feeling very relaxed as it should be.” She then starts up about one gift cert being for me and the other for my wife. I explained that my wife does not like massage and gave me hers. She acted like I was doing something wrong and even tried arguing that since I’m a business owner I should know this was wrong. I explained to her that she shouldn’t just get to keep money that was spent on a gift cert because the intended recipient happens to not like massage, and that nowhere on the gift cert did it say non-transferable. She was so rude and unprofessional that I tore the gift cert in half and dropped it on a chair. I told her to keep it and that I would go out of my way to share my experience with other as I am doing now. Every word of this is true and accurate. I think she is an OK massage therapist but an awful business person with a horrendous understanding of how to treat clients. I’m fairly certain this was a result of her realizing that I was using a gift cert and would not be receiving a payment…just a tip. She told me about the gift cert before I told her, so I know she was thinking about it. That’s it.
