I briefly worked at this firm this summer but I can honestly say that the people are great and treat their clients with respect. Andrew Guzman is a great manager and goes the extra mile along with his assistant Grace Lamey. There would be nights we were there until 10 at night tending to clients and their questions. Overall had a great experience.

During a tenant/landlord dispute where I knew my landlord was completely wrong, I used the trusted services of the Law office of Alexander Borell. My Attorney was Giancarlo Ricard, and he was super helpful. Within 2 days of hiring Giancarlo and team, they had reached a resolution for me with the landlord. Within 4 weeks my issue was no longer a problem and I received compensation for my dispute. Luckily, due to their expertise and knowledge I did not have to file a suit or go to court. I am super grateful to their team for their swift action, and compassionate demeanor during a tough time. Thank you Giancarlo Ricard and team!

Everything went well the whole process. Andrew did a great job. He always kept me updated during the entire process.

I worked for this law firm for 3 months from October 2014 until December 2014. Many of my team members were extremely kind and pleasant. Others, not so much. One thing that really impacted me was the lack of humanity and compassion towards their clients. My team members were more concerned about numbers and signing up cases, most of the time making false promises (even though they were not Attorneys). During the 3 month duration of my employment, I don't recall seeing Mr. Borell more than twice. Basically the firm at that time (October - December 2014) was managed by Andrew Guzman, who stated that he was a friend of Mr. Borell for many years, and Andrew in turn employed his entire family to work there (Mother, brother, father or step father, etc), and they were the ones who managed the firm. Almost on a daily basis I was saddened to see people lose their homes, but the most shocking of all was that my coworkers and I were being asked to collect money aggressively even from those that were losing their homes the same day and we (non-attorneys) had to inform them of the bad news after taking their money. So as you can see lack of compassion and humanity was something that I experienced daily. On that note, on December 2, 2014, I received a call that my mother had a near fatal motor vehicle accident that left her completely immobilized. I asked Andrew (my manager at that time) if I could take a week off to assist my Mom, and he reassured me that it was not a problem at all. About 7 days later I called the office to let them know I was coming back and Andrew's brother Rick Guzman
simply told me "no need to come back, you don't have a job anymore" and hanged up the phone. The state of Florida forced them to pay for unemployment and I just moved on with my life, but never forgot their unethical behavior. This is why I feel it is my duty to inform others that the law office of alexander borell will not be the place to go if what you need is help, compassion and kindness.
