Peek-a-Boo Aventura

HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO READ AS THIS IS A HONEST OPINION OF THIS LOCATION: I speak solely for Peekaboo located in Aventura and for those that budgeting to some extent is a concern during the party planning process for your little one. I love my 2 year old son more than anything in this world and I believe that his party budget is quite generous (up to $1500) however, I do try where possible to save here and there. This location was beautiful but since the beginning I felt a money hungry vibe from both the owner and the manager and we were obviously not on the same page (as I was a mother trying to be resourceful). In other words they so evidently would persuade me to the more expensive services and when I would try to suggest a better alternative that would save me a couple of bucks, they would not only turn it down on a basis on judgment (most likely because it wasn’t as profitable as other alternatives) but would make me feel bad (ex. The manager referred me to the menu online to plan for the adults menu for the party and I wanted pizza, soda and water for the adults which was on the menu that they had referred me to. Their response was “I don’t understand, only pizza?” which indirectly made me feel cheap. Of course, they turned it down based on judgement (not policies which referred me to this menu) because according to them, they “believe the menu is quite reasonable in price to choose other options”. In other words, that’s not very profitable for them than a $3.50 per person pastry. Another example (and this was from the owner himself), I had asked the owner if the drinks can be limited since they were sold individually and that way I can control the quantity (since I can’t control the guests). The owner advised that yes but warned me that I would be the one looking bad, not them. Seriously? Please don’t misinterpret this opinion as a bad experience. This opinion is directly about the people that are running it. Of course, a business exists to make profit and I understand that but businesses design a party package to ensure that clients understand the services and limitations are clear. However, they were not honoring their party package policies and were rather making judgment calls depending on whether what I requested was VERY profitable or not to them (see examples above). I’ve never seen this in a business; I was very disappointed. I decided not to pursue my sons party in this location.
