Midtown Beauty Bar

After reading the initial review I was a little perplexed since I have been going to Midtown Beauty Bar for about 8 months and have had a completely different experience. I initially started taking my teen daughter there for shellac manicures. As a single dad I'm definitely no expert in that dept. but I will say that my daughter's nails last about a month and she is a competitive cheerleader and abuses her hands with lots of tumbling 5 days a week.



In another note, if you are looking for a fancy place with state of the art furniture, appliances and a weekend DJ for entertainment this is not for you. This place is no frills but they do a great job and if you go enough times you are treated like family. Also, you can't beat their prices.

I will definitely not allow my friends experience the tragedy of going to this place...VERY, VERY, VERY bad service...did I stresssss the VERY part enough? I had an appointment for a shellac manicure...a procedure that usually takes at most 45 minutes anywhere else, took TWO (2 1/2) hours in this place, the person doing the manicure was involved in personal conversations, whinning, everything except putting attention to my shellac manicure, and of course this shellac only lasted two days, and believe me I have had shellacs from other places last up to three weeks...makes me WONDER??? They offer you something to drink when you first get there, water, wine, etc...I decided for a glass of wine and to my surprise the edge of the glass was all dirty with lipstick from previous clients...really do you want me to drink from this glass?? Let's talk about the variety of colors to choose for your shellac manicure...yes...sure about seven (7) colors available...oh thats really great!!! Other places have a handful of shades perhaps more than fifty and I can only get seven here....awesome!!!!! And be careful they do offer their services via GROUPONS, so you may get two (2) shellac manicures for the price of one, let me tell you it is better you go somewhere else and pay full price, prevent yourself from loosing your time, getting an ulcer and two days later find out your shellac is not even as good as a normal manicure....Sure let's make an appointment for next time...no...not really, let me go anywhere else in Miami, better yet If I have to drive to Broward I will, but I will never go back.....absolutely HORRENDOUSSSSS!!!!!
