Miami Sun Hotel

It is definitely what you pay for, but I loved staying here! I got to save a load of money which was used to party. :)

Excellent location very friendly and nice staff, I stayed for a whole week without problems and I would do it again, very familiar. I was able to walk everywhere and the bus station and metromover is very close as well.

I was recently in Miami for the Phish New Year's Eve Run and I can't say anything terrible about this place! It is in a wonderful location, the rooms are extremely small, but if you're only sleeping there...no big deal! The daytime desk clerk is such a lovely peraon, she was so welcoming! Every hotel could always be a little cleaner, but these people tried their best! I thank you for having a great place to stay for one of the best weekends of my life! Cheers!

if you want a simple yet clean room in a great location stay here the staff are super friendly and they helped me out big time I could pay day by day at the start of my stay cos my pay check never went though they didn't make me feel like a burden they were too cool understanding trusting about it there are also two really cool barber shops close by nyc style and a fresh hiphop clothing store and corner store and 3 min from college north people mover station what more could u want I was very happy and i stay 7 nites and got 2 free yeeeeha

I stayed at the Miami Sun Hotel with 3 other friends when we came down to Miami for Ultra Music Festival. This hotel was PERFECT for us!!!! It was BY FAR the cheapest room you will ever find in downtown Miami, and it was only 2 blocks away from Bicentenial Park (the Ultra Venue). This was perfect, becasue you will not be able to find a cab anytime around the open or close of ULTRA, and our hotel was only a 5 minute walk to and from the festival. The room was kind of small, (shower is tiny), but that is not at all a complaint, since we paid less than 1/4 what we would have paid anywhere else in downtown that close to the bay. The staff at The Miami Sun was probably the most personable staff I have ever encountered at a hotel. They were always there with helpful advise about nearby dining, nightlife, and other assorted accomodations nearby. I will be going back to Ultra Fest next year, and I can't imagine staying ANYWHERE else but the Miami Sun Hotel!!!

This place was amazing. The price was perfect. We paid for 5 nights and got 2 free!.. It did seem a little sketchy at first, but then we discovered that the location was great and the people weren't that bad. The hotel is secured at night. They close the lobby doors at 11pm and you have to show an id to get in... They offered room cleaning for an EXTRA CHARGE but we were more than welcome to bring down dirty linen to be exchanged for fresh ones and to use their broom! =D

Susan and Tony (hotel staff) were kick a$$! They were both very down to earth & helpful.

I did not see any roaches or other bugs, thank God!

It's not a fancy schmancy hotel, but who needs one when you're here to enjoy Miami. I was only in my room at night to sleep...

This is a great hotel if you're not high maintenance!

My husband and I come down to Miami every winter to escape the cold and we love The Miami Sun. The staff are so friendly, they help with arranging tours, transportation, and even let me in on some secret shopping spots to get good deals. We love to spend time in the lobby chatting with the European and Carribean travellers who also stay there regularly. The place is older but has personality. We reccommend it to all our friends.

I super recommend the Miami Sun Hotel. Not a luxury hotel, but the price is great and .Location as well. The room is very clean and cozy. It has a great benefit cost for those not seeking luxury on your travels.

Miami Sun Hotel is a great budget hotel. I needed to be Downtown for business and didn't want to spend a whole lot of money. It was a clean but simple room. There is a resturant next door, the staff was friendly and helpful. For the price I was very happy. The locations is great. Walking distance to the Courthouse, Bayside, Hard Rock Cafe, Shopping etc... Nothing Fancy but a great buy for my dollar. I will stay here again.

It is the perfect place if you just need an affordable place to crash and only the basic amenities. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the Miami area and need only somewhere to rest your head. Friendly staff, great location, and it saves you money.

This hotel was amazing, in every aspect. From the moment we walked in we were warmly welcomed by Doris, who was very accomadating to our last minute changes. She helped us navigate miami and waz very kind. This hotel is located next to a deadmau5 barber shop that has music all day and night outside. And the best cuban bodega in the city is right next store...simply delicious. We will stay here every time we come to miami.

Compared to the price of any other hotel in Miami this is worth it! You get what you pay for here, so don't expect room service and fancy hotel rooms! For the amount of time you will be in the room the price is awesome! The hotel doesn't care if extra people stay in your room, and there is no complaints for partying - why would you want to stay ANYWHERE ELSE (Unless your rich and cost of room doesn't matter) BEST PART - it was 3 blocks from the Ultra Music Festival grounds, and super close to some of the best Miami Music week parties (walking distance because you WILL NOT get a cab in Miami that week!) Basic Room - Awesome Personable Service - Crap load of money saved on Hotel - WIN!
