General Info

Dr. Francesca Pietri was born in Caracas, Venezuela and raised in sunny South Florida! She graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in biology. She then moved to Paris, France to fulfill her childhood dream of studying French language, architecture and cuisine at Sorbonne University and study art at Académie du Port Royal. Afterward, she returned home to Florida to pursue a career in Dentistry. Dr. Pietri graduated first in her class while earning her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine. Several prestigious awards were bestowed upon Dr. Pietri during her academic carrier, including Student of the Year at the College of Dental Medicine, the Deans Award for Highest Scholastic Achievement, the American Association of Orthodontists Exceptional Interest Award, as well as graduating with High Honors and receiving Honors in Orthodontics and Craniofacial Orthopedics. She was also inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society and the Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society. After dental school, Dr. Pietri completed her specialty training at the prestigious Eastman Institute for Oral Health at the University of Rochester, where she received her Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. In addition, she has been published and awarded for her research in orthodontics. Dr. Pietri is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, Florida Association of Orthodontists, Southern Association of Orthodontists and Florida Dental Association. Dr. Pietri is not just passionate about orthodontics. She is a fun, dynamic and well-rounded woman. She enjoys traveling (she has been to 24 countries so far), rescuing animals, cooking for family and friends, and making beautiful flower arrangements. However, one of the things she enjoys the most is spending quality time with her husband, Eduardo, and their Min Pin dog, Mimi Bonsai!
