Dr. Eric R.H. Duerr is an ophthalmologist specialized in the care of patients with glaucoma and cataracts. He completed his undergraduate degree at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, graduating summa cum laude. He then earned his medical degree at the University of Pittsburgh, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Miami has since been home to Dr. Duerr, completing both his ophthalmology residency and glaucoma fellowship at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute.In addition to patient care, Dr. Duerr has a passion for medical education and hopes to enhance the ophthalmic training of medical students, residents and fellows at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. Through clinical research focused on outcomes of glaucoma surgery, he also intends to contribute to advances in the care of patients with glaucoma.
