X-rays
CBCT stands for Cone Beam Computed Tomography. It is a technology used to take three dimensional (3-D) images of your teeth, maxillary sinus, nerve pathways, and bone in the maxillofacial region with a single scan. The CBCT system rotates around the patient in approximately 30 seconds, capturing data using a cone-shaped x-ray beam. Dental cone beam computed tomography is used when regular two dimensional dental x-rays are not sufficient. With CBCT, clinicians can get highly detailed 3-D views of the facial region with lower radiation exposure than a conventional CT scan. This may help with the diagnosis, treatment planning and evaluation of certain conditions. Oral surgeons commonly utilize this technology to assess the following treatment options...

Resin Composite
Bonding is technique of applying composite resin to teeth to fix cavities, chips, cracks, discolored or misaligned teeth. Teeth Bonding can be also be used an alternative to veneers although it has some limitations.
Veneers
Porcelain Laminate veneers can be utilized to reposition teeth if the crowding is not too extensive. The objective is to not be too aggressive and minimize long term damage to the teeth. Ask Dr. Morr if porcelain laminate veneers are an option for you!!
Crowns
– Crown lengthening is a procedure done to either expose more sound tooth structure when a tooth is broken down (create a foundation) or to level soft tissues for aesthetic purposes (symmetry of the gums). It is a fairly simple procedure if done for esthetic purposes and generally causes little to no pain after surgery. It does take at least 3 months to heal but can improve the smile dramatically.
Bridges
A bridge is a dental prosthetic created specifically to fill the space created by absent teeth or to splint mobile teeth that cannot support themselves biomechanically. If a tooth is missing, They are attached by dental crowns to the teeth that lie on either side of the gap in the teeth, providing the degree of permanency that is needed for proper maintenance. The goal of dental bridges is to replace the missing tooth and to provide structural support to the bite.
Dental Bonding
Composite bonding is the technique of choice to fill cavities after removing caries due to its inherent white optical properties (white filling material). For back teeth, it is the most conservative treatment available. Bonding composite for the purpose of altering tooth form on front teeth or covering stains is not considered a permanent solution for damaged teeth. Bonding typically lasts three to five years before needing to be repaired. Techniques and materials are improving all the time, so it’s important to talk with your Miami prosthodontist to determine if bonding is a viable solution for you. The bonding procedure can often be completed in a single office visit, and can improve the appearance of a tooth significantly.
Restorative Dentistry
Dr. Morr, a dentist in Miami Florida is the owner and founder of TMprosthodontics. He is a specialist in Aesthetic, Implant, and Complex Restorative Dentistry. After Graduating from the University of Florida with a BS degree in microbiology, he continued his education at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a DMD degree. Dentures
A denture or a complete denture as it is often called is an appliance that replaces all of the natural teeth on an arch that have been lost or will be lost. Most dentures are made of acrylic and have flanges on the lip side and some forms cover the palate with acrylic, depending on the need for support or suction.
Overdentures
Are dentures made to fit over endodontically treated teeth or implants. Both of these add support to the denture. If attachments are placed into the teeth or onto the implants, retention is improved as well. If a denture is sitting directly over the soft tissue, the seal can be broken fairly easy if the remaining ridge is not ideal. Implant overdentures are extremely helpful in adding retention and stability If a conventional denture is unstable. This type of prosthesis is especially helpful for the lower arch where obtaining suction is almost impossible. On the upper arch, implant placement can negate the need to cover the palate with acrylic because the denture will not be dependent on suction. The various types of overdentures on implants vary from single attachments, bars, custom abutments, etc. Dr. Morr can help you determine which form of attachment method will work best for you.

Dental Implants
Connective Tissue Grafting – This procedure is done to either cover exposed root surfaces or to build up a ridge where a tooth is missing so that we can make it appear as if it is emerging from the gums, or thicken the tissue around an implant. This procedure requires taking Gum from the palate and grafting it under the gum in another area of the mouth. This procedure is very predictable and is done based on the situation. Dr. Morr can help you decide what is the right option for you!!

Pre-prosthetic Surgery
Some patients require minor oral surgical procedures before receiving a partial or complete denture, in order to ensure the maximum level of comfort. The preparation of your mouth before the placement of a prosthesis is referred to as pre-prosthetic surgery.
Gum Surgery
Worn teeth and tipped in teeth treated with Porcelain laminate veneers from first bicuspid to first bicuspid. Gum surgery to level gums was done first

Bone Grafting
The entire procedure usually takes six to eight months. If you are fully edentulous and wear a denture, you should be able to wear temporary dentures and eat a soft diet during the healing phase. It’s best to discuss your options with your prosthodotist, because it is not good to have too much pressure on the implants during initial integration, especially with bone grafting. Most patients do not experience any disruption in their daily life.

Cosmetic Dentistry
Dr. Johanna Gallego earned her dental degree from Universidad Santa Maria in Caracas, Venezuela in 2008. She worked in private practice that specialized in cosmetic dentistry and dental implants, where she had the opportunity to discover and fall in love with Prosthodontics. She then moved to Boston and completed a three-year postgraduate program in Prosthodontics at Boston University. After graduation She moved to florida and join private practice specializing in prosthodontics, restorative, cosmetic dentistry and dental implants.
