        Calusa Crossing Animal Hospital began serving the West Kendall community with small animal medicine and surgery in the spring of 1989 at 11266 SW 137 Ave. Calusaâ??s staff is privileged to have some of the best clients and patients in the area. After 22 years, our clinic was faced with outgrowing the facility and began looking for a better location in West Kendall. We found our new animal hospital site at 12801 SW 134 Court and moved in July of 2011. Everyone is excited to have the convenience of private parking, state of the art equipment, and twice the space to share with our clients.

        Dr. Woodby is a great vet. But the office staff is not very helpful. I asked them to give me an estimate on how much it would be to have 3 dogs given the heartworm shots and the person gave me the estimate which I explained to her if this was everything and she said yes ( I even kept the paper where she wrote the price down). Well to my SURPRISE - I took my 3 dogs in thinking that would be around $129.00 as she told me. Once they did the test for the heartworm and gave them the shots - come to fine out that each HEARTWORM TEST WAS $32.50 (which is drawing blood) for EACH DOG WHICH $97.50 a price the person did not give me when I requested teh estimate. I paid $100 more which if I would have know I would have taken 1 dog at a time. A costly mistaken which I do not appreciate from his staff. Charging $32.50 to test for heartworms on each dog is ridculous.

        Dr Woodby & his staff are excellent. They are caring & thorough. We would highly recommend them.
