General Surgery
Dr. Baker is a Miami native whose father, Dr. Thomas Baker, is known internationally as one of the world’s top plastic surgeons. Dr. Tracy Baker completed his Plastic Surgery training at Harvard Medical School before serving as chief resident in Plastic Surgery at Beth Israel Hospital and the New England Deaconess Hospital of Harvard Medical School. He is board-certified in both Plastic Surgery and General Surgery. During his 20-year surgical career, Dr. Baker has authored several textbooks, chapters, and articles in aesthetic surgery journals. He has been the featured instructor in educational tapes on lasers, rhinoplasty, abdominoplasty, and liposuction produced by the Plastic Surgery Education Foundation.
Ear Surgery
Cosmetic ear surgery for adults is generally performed on an outpatient basis using only a local anesthetic. In the hands of an experienced, skilled surgeon such as Dr. Baker or Dr. Yee, the procedure will involve making small incisions in the back of the ear that will be essentially hidden. Because the cartilage of adult ears is firmer than that of children, it is less pliable. Both Dr. Baker and Dr. Yee take great care to avoid leaving patients with a “pinned back” appearance, where the ears lay too close to the head.
