Teeth Cleaning

Resin Composite
We are a mercury-free practice. However, many people still have silver/mercury fillings from years past in their mouths. These fillings are not particularly pleasing to the eye, and we know that by an unavoidable design flaw, silver/mercury fillings ultimately result in a weaker tooth structure. Porcelain inlays and composite resins create fillings that are not only beautiful (or unnoticeable) but also add strength to weakened teeth. These restorations are esthetically pleasing and very strong thanks to new bonding technologies.

Root Canal Treatment
Placing crowns on these teeth relieves the pain and allows a return of full dental function for these teeth. In front teeth, older fillings can both weaken the teeth and cause "appearance" problems due to staining or chipping. Porcelain crowns and bridges are suitable in cases where porcelain veneers are not. In teeth with root canal fillings, crowns can prevent breakage.

Dr. Oscar Lopez was raised in Cliffside Park, New Jersey, where from a young age he knew that he wanted to follow in his fathers' foot steps and become a dentist. Dr. Lopez would spend his summers working in a dental lab and assisting his father at his dental practice, and in the eighth grade he created his first denture for a science project.
