This office was advertising free sport physicals. I specifically called to ask if Boy Scout camp physicals were included and I was told yes. I arrived for my appointment and was told Boy Scout camp physicals were not included and would cost $40. I was very upset for being given misinformation and for my time being wasted.. I would not recommend this office due to incompetent staff.

accompanied my friend here. The doctor (Dr. White) was friendly on first visit but hostile on the the second. He didn't listen when she explained that she'd had an adverse reaction to the medication that he'd prescribed and told her she was welcome to look elsewhere if she didn't like the process he was using to find out what was causing her pain.

Also be aware, this clinic requires extreme evidence before prescribing any narcotics which is offensive to me since it makes the normal. average person feel like their being accused of being a drug user just because OTC meds like Tylenol and Advil are not helping with their pain.

Don't go here.

Stay away from this place! To...

Stay away from this place! Took my daughter there and she had some blood work done. Received a phone call from the doctor's office that we had to come in to get the results. Rushed down there, only to be told that they could have just told me on the phone that my daughter is just vitamin D deficient, and they gave her a prescription for vitamin D. After admitting that all that could have been done with a phone call, I was then charged $92. These people are scammers - wish I'd never gone there.

Dr. Dinsdale is a great doctor...

Dr. Dinsdale is a great doctor. There are a few things I don't like about the office like you can only make appointments for that day. I'll agree that sucks. But Dr. Dinsdale answers my questions and treats me like I know something about my diabetes. I know things change from year to year with Medicare and his office will say if they don't know (so far). He beats the last doctor I had who told me that the 7th cranial nerve problem I have was a heart problem.

DO NOT GO TO THIS DR. OFFICE!!...

DO NOT GO TO THIS DR. OFFICE!!!!!!! I WAS a long time patient of this office and a long time family friend of the dr. who owns the office. I recently have been having some issues which may possible result in cancer. I saw another dr. in the office for my orginal treatment and then called back the office a week later to ask if Dr. Dinsdale (who has been my dr for almost 20 years) could review my xrays and give me a second opinion. I was told he can't do that without an appt., I asked when I could make an appointment, they said only the same day. I am not permitted to leave me job in the mornings and asked if there was another way to make the appt and was told no. Then I asked if I could just leave a message for Dr. Dinsdale, was again told no. This office could care less about my health and finally I filed a compliant with the medical board. Due to my compliant, Desert Grove DROPPED me as a patient in the middle of possibly having cancer and being a patient and family friend for over 20 years. Find another dr.! This is the worst place ever!

1. DO NOT GO THERE... horrible...

1. DO NOT GO THERE... horrible experience last week. I have been going here for a few years and never had a problem before.. Went last week needing a refill on one of my meds and they basically told me that I am not in pain and they would not refill it...Then referred me to a pain management place... Also had a problem with my sleeping and they told me that I have a baby and that’s why I wake up in the middle of the night and referred me to go to a sleep study.. Are you kidding me, like I am going to be able to sleep at a foreign place with out my kids, that will definitely make me not able to sleep.. So the doc sent me away with nothing... Came back the next day to see Rachel and asked for my refill on my med and she said she has to go talk to the other doc I saw the previous day, came back and said that he didn’t give it to you because he thinks you were taking too much for the amount of pain you should be in... Like he knows how much pain I am in... So she gave me naproxen, basically Aleve.. Ya, that’s going to work. Came home and pulled up the notes on the internet from my appointment and there was a lot of false information in my file. Things the said, "discussed with patient" that was NEVER discussed with me.. Overall a horrible doc office. I felt pushed out with no treatment, just sending me off somewhere else...Also I have reached my out of pocket max for my insurance and every time I go there, they ask me for my co pay.. I tell them every time that I do not have to pay anything... Also, you will never be able to call and speak with a doc, they want you to schedule an appointment (more money for them) even if it’s to tell them you need a refill or to go in and get test results to say, everything is OK... They could just call to tell you that. So No, I do not recommend this doc office to anyone.

Mediocre

The staff are there simply because it is a place to work. No one cares, and the answer to many questions is, "I don't know." Oftentimes I seem more up-to-date on current practices than the physicians. Their referrals are out if date and horrible. Do your own research on whom you want to see as a specialist, then tell them.

Don't Play the Referral Game

I was charged $72 by Desert Grove Family Medical for services I explicitly asked not to receive, and did not receive the services I assumed I was paying for.

My wife made an appointment with Desert Grove Family Medical for diagnosis and treatment, verifying twice that the doctor provided 'diagnosis and treatment' and explicitly stating that we were paying cash and did not have the money to just pay for a referral - if the doctor was going to just give a referral, we would go directly to a the specialist. We were told 'Yes, we can diagnose and treat' for the condition - this was a statement confirmed by the person in charge of billing - Frances M., and we made the appointment based on that statement.

When I came in for the appointment, I reminded the Desert Grove Family Medical office staff that I was there for diagnosis and treatment - not a referral. I also told the doctor I was there for diagnosis and treatment. So what did I get? Instead of getting what I very specifically asked for, I got exactly what I did not want - the doctor referred me. I paid $72 for the doctor to pull a piece of paper out of a folder and circle a phone number.

This is the exact outcome that I explicitly stated - no fewer than 3 times - that I did not want, yet this is what I ended up being charged for.

The ethical thing for Desert Grove Family Medical to do in this case would be to refund my money since not only did I not get the help I requested, they charged me for exactly what I did not want. I asked for a refund and was told by 'Frances M.' - the person in charge of billing that I would not receive a refund. I repeatedly asked them to do the right thing - the ethical thing, and make this right by providing a refund, which they have refused to do.

'Frances M.' is the person responsible for the decision. She is the person that originally confirmed that Desert Grove Family Medical did indeed diagnose and treat for the condition, and she was the one that ultimately denied refunding our money when we didn't receive the treatment she said we could get.

Buyer beware - Desert Grove Family Medical may charge you for services that you have not asked for, and do not want if you experience is like mine. You are far better off visiting a specialist directly rather than wasting money for them to basically look up a piece of paper with a phone number on it.

Dinsdale Is Great!!

Dr. Dinsdale has been my doctor for over 10 years. He has helped my entire family through many illnesses and is a very kind, light-hearted doctor who really cares about people. No matter what office he is at, I am willing to travel wherever he is to see him and him alone!

Long Time Patient

It is a shame that as the economy started to fall so did the quality of service at Desert Grove Family Medical. One necessary office visit became 2 to 3, and it seemed that they were more interested in the copay than actually providing a service. Then when you question this, you will be threatened with having to go find another Dr as they can not service anyone that questions their methods. They would rather throw away a client of years than to do the right thing. Very sad but very true.
