A-1 Taxi

A-1 is absolutely the worst example of a taxi service that I have ever encountered. When I commented on contact that the dispatch person sounded unprofessional, he immediately told to call another service. At the time I had not read the reviews which are quite correct, thankfully I only wasted a minute on the phone with this worthless and classless so called taxi servce. My advice, if the Svc sounds unprofessional on contact it will be downhill henceforth.

Do yourself a favor and call someone else. Booked this taxi a day before for an early pickup to the airport bus shuttle. Day of pickup, called 30 minutes before he was to arrive and voicemail was full (not a good sign). 15 minutes after he was to arrive, he called, again asked when my bus was to leave and then "sorry, we won't make it." As I first wrote...DON'T BOTHER!

This is a bootleg taxi service. Its like the guy turned his personal van into a taxi service, He doesnt have a meter so be aware of over charge like he did me. Indiana rates are 2.00 per mile. which i went 13 miles which would make 26.00 + 3.00 pick up fee so I should have paid 29.00 but instead he charged 42.50. way to much..He also had an open beer can and was speeding, Save your money use another service.

Unfortunately, "A-1" is NOT the service that I received. I called an hour in advance to request cab service for 2pm. The driver had to be contacted a 2nd time & STILL didnt arrive til 2:30p. I needed to be someplace by a specific time & no matter how much preparation I attempted to make, this company failed me & made my day that much MORE difficult!! Welp... Happy New Year to me :-((
