We are a group of internists, working together to provide high quality primary care of adults, including preventative medicine, physicals, treatment of acute illness, management of chronic conditions, and promotion of women's health.
Emergency Care
We hope you are all safe. The medical office IS open but with reduced staff. We want to be available to our patients during this challenging period to answer their medical questions, take care of medication refills, discuss important results and generally help with your medical needs. We are also available to see the occasional patient in the medical office who has a problem not needing the services of the hospital Emergency Department. The aim is to prevent overloading the ER and reduce your potential exposure to the hospital environment.

SELF PAY PATIENTS OR PROMPT PAY PATIENTS WHO ARE INSURED: A 20% prompt pay discount is applied to all full pay payments received at the time of service whether or not you carry insurance. This means anyone willing to/or needing to pay in full at the time of service will receive a 20% discount off of the evaluation and management service codes only. Charges for supplies, tests, immunizations, medications, or procedures are not discounted. Gopi Ayer MD, Mandeep Ayer MD, Jane Chien MD do not make payment arrangements or extend credit. All services are expected to be paid in full at the time of service. By signing below I state that I am not eligible for Medicaid and will never ask this office to bill them.

We also bring to patients an understanding of wellness, women's health, substance abuse, mental health, as well as effective treatment of common problems of the eyes, skin, nervous system, and reproductive organs.

Ultrasound
We commonly use VRI ( www.valleyradiologyimaging.com ) for your radiology needs. Some radiology procedures are done on a first come first-served basis. Special procedures, including mammography and ultrasound require appointments. The results are then communicated to the patient by phone, US mail, or electronically through our practice portal. Routine results are available in 3-7 days depending on the test.

Ankle Sprain
The CCI specifies that your physician must charge separately for preventative care, such as physical exam, which is different than problem-related care, such as a muscle ache, sprained ankle, high blood pressure, cough, or pain. Therefore, if you receive treatment for a specific health problem during your physical exam, your physician is required to charge separately for these services.
