Dr. Sorensen, board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (physiatrist) and subspecialty certified in Pain Medicine, has more than 28 years of clinical experience. He has been a national instructor for the Spine Intervention Society (SIS) since 2001 and provides the most current and evidence-based interventional spine care. His practice includes non-surgical treatment and interventional procedures for back and neck pain, herniated disc, sciatica, radiculopathy ("pinched nerve"), degenerative disc disease, and other spine disorders or injuries. He also evaluates patients with shoulder and hip pain, and those with numbness and/or tingling of arms, hands, and legs (including electrodiagnostic testing). In addition, he treats patients with work or accident-related injuries. Dr. Sorensen provides personalized and compassionate care. Dr. Sorensen received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis and specialty training from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
