Dental Examination
This practice has outstanding people working for them. Everyone was welcoming and showed true care for my health. Their office was comfortable and quiet. Dr. King did a great job with my dental Exam and found a solution to an issue that I didn’t know could be fixed. Susan did an amazing job cleaning my teeth and they have never felt cleaner after a cleaning. Your comfort is their first priority.

Teeth Cleaning
Scaling and root planing (SRP) is a periodontal cleaning technique that reaches up to 5mm below the gumline to scale away hidden plaque and tartar deposits. During the procedure, the root surface is planed to remove irregularities. Drs. Godat and King routinely order root scaling and planing for patients to allow for more effective bacteria removal and healthier gums.

Veneers
A gum lift can make your smile more even and may be combined with other procedures such as veneers or restorations for a brilliant smile. If you have a gummy smile, or feel that your teeth look stubby or short, you can ask for an aesthetic gum lift to improve your appearance.
Crowns
If you have a damaged or decayed tooth, and it cannot be repaired with a crown or a filling first, your dentist may decide that the best solution is for the tooth to be removed altogether. This is always the last resort, but sometimes it can be the best one. If your tooth cannot be repaired, keeping it is only going to cause more harm than good, which is why an extraction may be recommended instead.

This treatment can even provide health benefits to patients. If you leave a space where a tooth used to be, this can lead to health problems. This will be the case if you opt for a treatment such as a dental bridge.

Tissue ridge reconstruction typically occurs before restorative dentistry, such as the fitting of a new bridge. We replace missing tissue via a series of grafts from other parts of the body – usually the palate – and then use these to reconstruct the gum line so that it appears natural again. As such, this is s surgical intervention and usually performed under local anesthetic.

Gingivectomy and Gingivoplasty
According to the American Dental Association, approximately 47.2% of Americans over the age of 30 have some type of gum disease, sometimes known as periodontal disease. The importance of preventing this or taking proper care upon diagnosis is of the utmost importance. Without preventing it, those that succumb to some form of gum disease might lose their teeth. This is where a gingivectomy may be performed. But what is a gingivectomy, and how can it help?
Periodontal Surgery
In addition to a gingivectomy, there is another type of periodontal surgery called gingivoplasty. The difference between a gingivoplasty and a gingivectomy is that a gingivoplasty only removes part of the gums, where a gingivectomy removes an entire portion of the gum. A gingivoplasty involves reshaping the gums, which improves the functions of the mouth, such as improving your ability to chew foods or preventing cavities.

Dentures
For instance, you could consider dentures. Dentures, while semi-effective, are not a permanent or fixed solution. As such, they can move around freely at the most inopportune moments. For instance, you might find that dentures cause you to have issues chewing certain foods or speaking. Dentures are also often very noticeable and can leave patients feeling embarrassed about eating or speaking in public.

The Pinhole Surgical Technique (also known as Chao Pinhole Gum Rejuvenation or the Chao Pinhole Technique) involves the use of specialized, tiny tools that can access affected areas of the gums without the need for traditional gum surgery.
