MRI
Health Management Company of America (HMCA), majority-owned by FONAR Corporation, provides non-medical management services for diagnostic imaging centers. At present, HMCA employs approximately 400 full-time employees and manages 27 centers in New York and Florida. The 27 centers are collectively equipped with 39 MRI scanners, most of them with FONAR Stand-Up® MRIs. (The FONAR Stand-Up® MRI is also known as the UPRIGHT® Multi-Position™ MRI). Several Stand-Up® MRI centers also offer complementary diagnostic equipment, such as High-Field 1.5T MRIs, 3.0T Whole-Body MRIs, 1.5T Extremity MRIs, and X-ray.
