Ming's Buffet & Grill

Use to like going here but the last few visit's I made have been horrible. Either there was barely any food on the buffet, or what was there was dry and over cooked. Tonight was the same way, and to top it all off the cashier said two words to me....$28.00 Dollars. Nothing more, she pulled out the to-go boxes and left me an empty bag to put them in and proceeded to talk and giggle with her friends that were there.



I am done with this place.

We have been eating at Ming's since it first opened and enjoyed it. Alan the manager was always nice. HOWEVER, recently within the past year it has declined quite a bit. I will not say anything about the fact that the items on the buffet have not changed in all these years...but a while back another Chinese place opened in McMinnville named Sentosa and then there was still the older place over by Gondolas restaurant. Well Ming's ran 50% and eventually the older restaurant closed and Sentosa went out. Mings no longer has competition or the 505 off. We stopped there today and it was so disgusting we could not eat it. I notice that the manager is seldom there, there is only one dish with vegetables on the buffet and it is so full of MSG that anyone sensitive to it would be ill. On the so called "Mongolian Grill" there were old looking mushrooms, some sliced onions, dried up napa cabbage and some bean sprouts. No Broccoli, no zuchinni, no other vegetables. All dishes on the buffet had either jalapenos peppers or hot red spices in them. If I want mexican I will go mexican. I WANTED CHINESE FOOD. There was NO cream cheese in the "cream cheese wontons' the sweet and sour sauce tasted quite old and spoiled. We normally go in the evenings and thought that was the problem...today we went 40 minutes after they opened about 11:45. I saw one chinese person working there. I am not some bozo who just stopped in, I have eaten here in the past and I worked for 8 years at a full service chinese restaurant. This place is no longer considered of any quality. I only give it one star because it made me do it.
