The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office is a part of Atlantic County in New Jersey. The office offers guidance counseling services to safeguard and protect citizens by the detection, arrest, prosecution and conviction of criminal offenders. It manages a computer crimes investigations and property and evidence units. The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office also operates a financial crimes unit that investigates fraud, embezzlement and forgery crimes. The office s major crime unit is responsible for the investigation of homicides and suspicious deaths. It has a homeland and school security unit that provides assistance and coordinates with local police departments and school administrators. The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office manages a special litigation section that represents the state in a variety of appellate and law division proceedings.
