Outback Steakhouse

You'll spend less money, be seated in 1/4 the time and have better food and service. I've been to this Outback in Matthews three times and every time it's been a TERRIBLE experience. I've been to other locations which have been great (the food is good when cooked the way you actually order it). The first time I went to this location I ordered a margharita that was nothing but sour mix. I mean if I wanted some juice I would've just paid $1 for it. But if you pay that much for a drink it better be right. So I asked the waitress if they could make me a new one and she was super nice about it. But I guess she told the manager what happened and she proceeded to come to my table and call me a liar, say that their bartenders do not short pour, etc, etc. So much for the customer being right. Then I just asked her for a diet coke instead and she refused to remove the drink that I did not drink from my bill! The second experience I had there included call ahead seating where we were told a table would be ready in 90 minutes. We got there at 60 minutes so had approx 30 minutes to wait. 90 minutes later we were seated and waited another hour for our food. The third, and LAST time, I will ever go there we had the same experience with the call ahead seating. We waited a good two years to go back and apparently nothing has changed. We were waiting on our food for 45 minutes when the waitress came out and informed me that they were out of the dish I ordered. Nice of her to tell me after 45 minutes. So I asked for a substitute which she didn't want to accomodate. After convincing her to accomodate my request, we finally got our food 30 minutes later. Then my husband's medium rare steak came out beyond well done. When we asked for the steak to be taken off the bill the waitress offered to give us a free dessert. For what? So we could wait another hour?? She got a manager who gave us our appetizer (which was awesome) free. Nice. Don't waste your precious time or money here.

I love the call ahead seating! Great Signature drinks too!
