MJ's Buttonwood Manor

I have been here several times and the food was great. Great selection. Went there tonight and the menu is very limited. They are trying to be a pub now. There is a dining room. If you have a dining room you cant just offer a bar menu. I decided on the chicken and broccoli over angel hair. Awful. If was boiled chicken with broccoli and what tasted like canned chicken soup poured over. I don't think I will be going back there anymore.
The fried calamari was very good though, this is the only reason for the two stars. Our server was far from pleasant. I do not know what other MJ's are like. I honestly didn't know that this was a chain when they first took over but maybe the Buttonwood is not the best place to take over for them. They want to be a bar and grille. They maybe should have taken over a smaller place. This place is just a bar with a bunch of wasted space. Who wants to sit in a nice dining room and eat bar food.

We just left and had the worst experience ever.Rancid crab in stuffed mushrooms, then we got more of the crab in the broiled seafood platter. My son't burger was petrified and my husbands prime rib was overcooked. When the bill came,they took off only $4.00 off of the $28.00 charge for 1 of the seafood platters. I spoke to the manager and he had a terrible, unprofessional attitude. The waitress was hostile-she had the nerve to add a 18 percent tip onto the bill(ususally, i leave a min of 20 percent) but, I felt inclined to change it to 15 percent. The place is old, worn out and dirty , I wanted to call in Chef Ramsey from Restaurant nightmares. He'd definitely shut this place down. Horrible exp. Such a shame as they have a gorgeous water view. That's the only good thing i could say about this place. It's terrible.
