Artiste Salon

I went to Artiste Salon to get full highlights done by Jackie. I paid $135 for highlights alone. There was no cut or blowout included. I walked out of the salon with dripping wet hair. When I got home to blow dry it, I came to find that my hair felt gunky and incredibly dry. Even after brushing it, I could not run my fingers through an inch of my hair without them getting stuck. I also saw that the color was uneven. When I went back to the salon an hour later to see how my hair could be fixed, Jackie gave me an attitude. She argued that I "should have known" this would happen. If I thought my hair was going to be stripped and destroyed do you really think I would have gone through with the highlights? Before the color treatment, a professional would have warned about the damage that would be caused. A real professional would know the damage they are about to do and refuse to treat the hair in such a way. Had I known the damage that would be caused, I would have been happy to not get the highlights and I would have been open to other suggestions. She waited until the highlights were put in and my hair was washed to tell me that my hair was dry. Assuming she is a complete idiot and was unaware of the damage she had done, there was no way for her to find out because she did not blow dry my hair. She said she could not refund my money so I returned the following morning to speak to Toni Ann, the owner. She told me that there was nothing wrong with my hair and said that although she had the power, she was choosing to not refund my money. She, too, tried to place the blame on me, insisting that I knew this would happen. She was extremely unhelpful and did not listen to my complaints. She gave me a nasty attitude and talked down to me. I don't think I should have to argue with her over why hair that is bronze/urine colored is not a good look. Not only am I out $135, but I now also have to pay to go have my hair fixed at another salon. I wish I could rate it -3 on the scale. Save yourself the trouble and do not go here.

Great salon very professional! Just got my hair done and it looks great! So happy, and would recommend this salon in a heartbeat. I know people don't listen to to these comments, but go try the salon out, and you will be leaving happier then you came in. Will never go any where else! Thank you Artiste!!
