The Mastic Fire Department offers fire suppression, rescue and emergency medical services for residents. The department works to preserve and protect residents lives and their properties. It also responds to hazardous automobile incidents. The department conducts disaster exercises, coordinates planning and preparedness activities, and prepares and maintains a resource inventory. The Mastic Fire Department also organizes loss reduction activities, such as inspections, plan reviews, fire investigations, and school safety and adult education programs. The fire department maintains a fleet of life support ambulances and staff utility vehicles. It employs firefighters and prevention and investigation officers. The Mastic Fire Department is located in Mastic, N.Y.
