Carl's Garbage Service

Used them for quite some time and been happy with their service until today. I use bill pay and their bill was being automatically paid every month and OVERPAID by $4 per month for the last 16 months totaling $64 overpayment. I was sending them the extra $4 per month because they were below the others and gave good service. That all changed today. I got a bill saying call the office yesterday so I did. They said they didn't get a payment for March so I called the bank and they had sent the payment on 3/19 but the check had not cleared, so thinking it had been lost in the mail I stopped payment and issued another check. I called them back and gave them the check number and said if it shows up don't deposit it another one is on the way. Well to make a long story short, today I discover they had the check and deposited it and when I called today they put me on the phone with the "manager" and she informs me that if the check gets returned I will have to pay the $35 bank fee and if I refuse she will take me to court. I wouldn't have stopped payment if they hadn't told me they didn't have the March check but they did get it on 4/5, thanks Maryville post office,. Apparently being overpaid $64 doesn't count. Obviously this "manager" isn't the brightest bulb in the box because she has just cost Carl a customer who overpays her bill every month!!

Trying to watch our budget, we changed from a more expensive "giant" garbage pick up service to Carl's (C&W) service and have been VERY PLEASED. We have a great garbage man, Sean, who always goes the extra mile to provide good service. NEVER had any problems with this garbage service like one other "owl" service that would FLY down the gravel road...our garbage man has NEVER driven like that where you would worry about kids or pets in the neighborhood! I would highly recommend them for garbage service!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I have been using them for over 3 years! Yesterday my husbands truck was gonna and I happened to be home! I heard the driver, his name is Jimmy I later found out, outside my house picking up my trash! I happened to look out in time to see him throw a small object at my dogs! That was aggravating enough. Then I watched as he picked up a 3 foot 2x4 that was leaning against my fence and throws it at my dog!! Very hard it even spun in circles! If she would not have moved it would have hit her! When I contacted the company about the incident I was told that they would have to cancel my service in order to keep Jimmy off of my property as there were no other drivers available! It went even further when I was told by this company that I was giving "false information " and that Jimmy was simply trying to play with my dog?!? Play with her by throwing a 2x4 at her?!? Please! They then went on to say that my cancellation did not hurt their company in any way! Nice to know how much they value their customers! I just want anyone who is considering this company to be informed before making their decision!!

Great customer service! Great prices! Our garbage man is so friendly, and if you forget to put your trash by the curb, he will get it for you. Have never had a single problem! Love! Love! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

awful and abusive language

I think they are great! The prices are reasonable, and they are reliable and dependable, and our particular garbage man goes above and beyond. We had forgotten to put garbage where we usually do for him and he went and got it anyways. I have not had one problem.
