Pennington Pointe

I moved into pennington pointe in November of 2014. The building is fairly aged. The windows are very drafty which results in high gas bills in the winter and high electric bills in the winter. It's is bitterly cold in the winter. Very bad insulation. The electrical outlets are dangerous: sparks would literally fly when I plugged in anything. You have to enter the apartments through an inside entry way to access your apartment, and hallways constantly smelled like weed. I overlooked the fake plants potted at the entrance, the unkept grounds, the rundown carpet in the halls and the pile up of garbage. I was almost content to residing there because the square footage was decent. I even tolerated the bugs. I tolerated the noise. I tolerated the (again) embarassing weed smell in the hallways. I tolerated the high utility bills. I could not tolerate when my rent money was stolen from their rent office they penalized me! My rent was stolen in September. The leasing office informed me that I shouldn't worry because they were going to resolve the matter. I paid the balance in october and I was informed that I had a credit of $511 in writing via email, three days after the rent was due. Once November came, the leasing office changed management and informed me that I owed them another $500. Despite the fact that I had it in writing that they informed me there was a $511 credit, they said I didn't understand how credit works and I still owed. All the while, I'm a single parent, yet cooperate interest trumps upholding your word. The leasing agent informed me rhat she saw the credit and would call her manager to inquire on the "error" of why it was nit notated in the system. After talking to hee manager, she informed me that i had to pay the additional amount. She told me and I quote "$400 is not a lot of money". I couldn't believe it. This company is full of liars. They promised me that i had no balance. I have an email confirming that I had a credit on Oct 6th after the rent was fully paid on the 3rd. Honestly for your credits sake, DO NOT APPLY HERE. They are liars. They do not uphold their word even in print.
