Pocketbook Pups

After much research, I found the cutest Yorkie pup! The best part of the experience was finding Kerrie Engelmann and Pocketbook Pups! Kerrie was so helpful with all things AKC and all aspects of raising a tiny Yorkie pup. So much good information and always available to help. Our new baby boy is the sweetest little guy due to the love and care he received from Kerrie and her daughter Kayleigh. I would highly recommend this breeder!

Kerrie and her daughter Kayleigh are the sweetest caring people we have met in a long time. We bought our sweet angel baby bear (yorkie) from Kerrie and she has changed our whole world she is amazingly smart and so beautiful so tonight she had an episode that scared us of signs of hypoglycemia it was late and I called Kerrie out of panic for advice that our dog had lost coordination wouldn't eat or drink and she walked us through the whole process. We did as she instructed and called her back she then offered to come all the way downtown to Austin to our home (an hour drive) and bring medicine and even gave her an IV because she was very dehydrated. We are so grateful that she came over to help our puppy she is making a full recovery I feel so blessed we chose to buy a puppy from such a caring loving family I highly recommend buying a puppy from them you should have seen the way our puppy lit up as she saw them walk through the door she remembered exactly who they were. Thank you Kerrie we are so grateful and thankful for all you have done and we love our sweet baby we get complimented about how well behaved smart and beautiful she is. We feel like we have a second family. You're such a sweet lady and we thank you for all the care you've given us.

Best puppy ever! We highly recommend Kerrie and her family if you're looking for a yorkie puppy. Our sweet "Gracie Lu" is adorable. She's healthy, very content, sweet disposition, loves to play, and is beautiful. She is potty-training easily and hasn't kept us up at night at all. What a gift she has been to us already! Kerrie and her family love their Yorkies and it's very obvious when you meet them and spend time with them. She loves on these puppies and takes such good care of them while they're in her care. It shows in her precious pups. Thank you, Kerrie!!

My girlfriend and I had been carefully looking for just the right little yorkie. Beyond that, it was equally important that we adopt one from a caring breeder...one that truly loves and cares for the dogs she breeds as raises rather than simply churns out dogs with no regard for the health or what kind of home they end up going to. After several weeks of searching I came across www.PocketbookPups.net and gave Kerrie a call. After talking with her for 10 minutes, I knew I found the right breeder. After listening to me describe the puppy I was looking to adopt, Kerrie said she had just the puppy for me. I drove out to her place in Manor and was not disappointed.

Kerrie knows Yorkies intimately. Her breeding dogs are all healthy, registered and have plenty of time and space to roam and play, rather than permanently locked in cages. They are truly part of her family, rather than a production line. This leads to similarly healthy and energetic little pups. What impressed me even more was how much attention the puppies are shown prior to adoption. When I arrived a handful were in the house playing with her children...a great indication that I'd be receiving a happy and well socialized dog.

Beyond the exceptional care shown to the dogs, Kerrie goes above and beyond in the adoption process. My little "Doug" came with all the AKC papers and vaccinations you'd expect. However, as part of the adoption price, Kerrie also provides a great little care package for new parents to take home with them, including a new bed, toys, training book, treats and even food! She's also been a wonderful post-adoption resource for us. I've spoken with her several times and she was even willing to watch Doug for a few days when I couldn't find a free kennel to care for him while I was travelling.

If you are also truly interested in dog welfare and adopting from a genuine, caring breeder, I wouldn't go anywhere else. Kerrie is THE BEST!
