East Coast Fireplace

We purchased our fireplace with gas conversion from East Coast Fireplace back in 2006. We scheduled a repair appointment as we could not get the fireplace to light after cleaning the grate and replacing the rock wool. We serviceman was very knowledgeable and had no problem troubleshooting and repairing our problem.

Called and scheduled a cleaning - first opening was just a week before Christmas- no problem! But when the man showed up he said he was a gas fireplace technician/cleaner only- not the standard wood-burning type of guy. Now they say they cannot come back to clean the fireplace until Dec. 30. Well, so much for Christmas! The mix up was not our fault and their lack of a quick solution is just bad business. I will not be using their services again.

I called to get information on there services, they were so bothered by my phone call, acted as if I was inconveniencing them! I immediately called another company, I guess there so busy they don't need additional business. To bad for them, people beware.

Company came through on fixing our chimney within a week. Thank you so much. We appreciate the support your comapny has given after Hurricane Sandy

This company was great. HUGE showroom, beautiful mantles and stone on display. The showroom wasn't dumpy like some of the other showrooms we visited. Sales people took a lot of time explaining the many selections of gas fireplaces. My husband and I ended up purchasing an amazing custom fit wall cabinet with enclosed fireplace for our living room. Patty in the office was a great pleasure to work with too!

Beware!!!! This company uses unethical tactics. Came to my house with an estimate of over $4500 to do a job that they never even saw to give an estimate. Then used scare tactics to get you to do the job. I finally talked them down to $600, but got a second estimate from another company that would have done it for $350. Do yourself a favor and do not use this company.
