I'm not sure that this patient realized that they were being referred to an Endodontist, meaning "root canal specialist". That is all we do in our office. We are not a general dentist practice. If a patient is sent to our office from their DDS, they are either: #1 being referred for a root canal or #2 being referred over for an evaluation on a tooth that may need a root canal. I'm sorry if that was not made clear to you when you were referred to us, or by our staff.
